Dr Dermot McCaffrey

Dr Dermot McCaffrey qualified as a doctor from Trinity College Dublin in 1989 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 1994. He then worked in Australia, specialising in Cardiology before becoming a Consultant in 1996 where he worked in Heart Failure and Transplantation. 

He then returned with his family to Dublin in 2006 and was a Consultant Cardiologist in Heart Failure in St Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park before he began practising in the Beacon Hospital and Blackrock Clinic as well as the Cardio Clinic, Naas. 

His special interests are the management of Heart Failure, Hypertension and Stress Echocardiography.
